Understanding what feels difficult.
Gently shifting what no longer serves you.
Welcome
Life can feel heavy, complex, or uncertain at times.
You may be carrying stress, navigating change, feeling overwhelmed, or simply sensing that something isn’t quite working the way it used to.
You don’t have to face that alone.
Therapy can be a place to slow down, make sense of what you are experiencing, and move forward in a way that feels steady and sustainable.
A brief 20-minute call to see if working together feels like a good fit.
If you already know you would like to begin counselling.
Meet Chantelle
I am Chantelle, a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC), offering online counselling for adults.
My approach is thoughtful, compassionate, and collaborative, creating space to reflect, understand patterns, and move toward meaningful change.
Why Altius
The name Altius comes from Latin, meaning “higher”. It is rooted in a word that can refer to both height and depth at the same time.
That dual meaning reflects how growth in therapy often involves both perspective and depth.
Moving forward does not come from pushing through or forcing change. It usually comes with slowing down and understanding yourself more clearly, including the parts that feel heavy, uncertain, or difficult.
With that clarity, change can happen in ways that feel steady and sustainable.
At Altius Counselling, there is space for both reflection and forward movement, at a pace that feels right for you.
How I Work
My approach is collaborative and integrative. I offer a steady, compassionate space where you can explore what matters most to you.
Therapy often begins with slowing down and making sense of what is happening: patterns in thoughts and emotions, the stories you carry about yourself, the ways you relate to others, and how past experiences may be shaping your responses. As understanding deepens, meaningful change becomes possible.
I draw from narrative therapy, cognitive and mindfulness-based approaches, emotion-focused work, and strengths-based strategies. Together, we look at your experience as a whole, how your thoughts, emotions, relationships, values and life story connect.
I also welcome spiritual and faith traditions when they are meaningful to you, and am comfortable integrating these when it feels relevant.
Areas of Support
I often support clients with:
Burnout & Overwhelm
Life Transitions
Grief & Loss
Anxiety & Stress
Relationship challenges
Identity & Purpose
If you are unsure whether what you are experiencing fits into a category, we can talk about that in a consultation.
Considering Counselling
You do not need to have everything figured out before reaching out. Many people begin therapy simply with a sense that something feels heavy, stuck, or difficult.
A consultation offers space to ask questions, share a little about what is bringing you here, and see whether working together feels like a good fit.
If you decide to continue, we can move at a pace that feels comfortable and right for you.
